The long-awaited announcement, made on Wednesday (April 23rd), is the result of discussions between local councils and developers to put in the necessary steps and funding to complete the road.

A HUGE fire has broken out this evening (Tuesday April 22nd) at the site of the former Highbridge Hotel. Fire crews from across Somerset are attending the scene. Two fire engines from Burnham-On-Sea, one fire engine from Bridgwater and a Control Support Unit from Street were sent to the scene at 9.29pm.
