Burnham-On-Sea’s second annual youth parade and Carnival Queen Fun Day for local groups is to be held this Saturday (July 12th).
The event will take place from 11am-4.30pm with a youth parade through the town similar to Burnham’s summer parade last year, as pictured here.
Jonathan Smith, the organiser, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re hoping for as many groups involved with youth activities to take part in this event and show the great things on offer for the younger members of Burnham and Highbridge.”

Carnival Queen Emma Nicholson said: “When I was crowned last year I was determined to do something unforgettable with my year as Carnival Queen. I also wanted to raise money for charities and Burnham Pantomime Society.”
“So as part of the youth parade I am organising a fun day for the community. There will be games, a raffle, bouncy castle, displays and lots more fun things for everyone to get involved with.”
“One of the charities I’m supporting is Think Amy, a local road safety charity. I chose this because I wanted to do something for children and my mum’s cousin was killed in a road accident in 1995, so I feel being aware of road safety is important for everyone – including children.”
