Burnham rescue services set to hold young persons’ open day

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s marine rescue services are inviting local youngsters to a Young Persons’ Coastal Day during April when they will be able to find out more about their life-saving work and sea safety.

The event will be held on Saturday 26th April from 10am-1pm and young people will have the opportunity to visit the RNLI lifeboats, BARB hovercrafts and Burnham Coastguards.

There is a small cost of £2 to cover expenses, refreshments and a goody bag – and children coming must be accompanied by their parents.

All local schoolchildren will be receiving a flyer inviting them along to the day via their schools and those interested in finding out more can contact organiser Tony Deahl on 01278 783121.

The event is being run on an invitation-only basis to restrict the number of attendees to manageable groups.
