Talented young Burnham-On-Sea tennis player Izzy Burrows is celebrating a fantastic summer of tennis after winning several tournaments.
Izzy, 10, is a member of Burnham’s Avenue Tennis Club and is a pupil at St Andrew’s School.
She won the Redland Bristol and the Torbay Open in the 10-and-under age group, which are both regional-level events.
Izzy also qualified to compete in a national tennis event at Bath University, winning two of her five singles matches.
She also won the 12-and-under regional doubles title and is the county champion in 10 and under singles.
Vinny Duddy, coach at the Avenue Tennis Club, says the Avenue Tennis Club were “really proud” when she also won the 12-and-under doubles tournament at the Burnham-On-Sea Open in August.
And in the last few weeks she has also just won her first 12 and under singles title at Bath University at County level.
Vinny added: “Izzy is a fantastic talent and is following in the footsteps of her older brother, Harry and sister Ellen, both of whom are really good tennis players who both play at the Avenue Tennis Club.”
