Yeovil Town FC launch kids development centre in Highbridge

-

Yeovil Town Football Club has announced the launch of a new children’s development centre at Highbridge’s King Alfred School.

The new centre, launching in March, will offer youngsters in the Burnham-On-Sea area a chance to develop their game with the help of qualified coaches.

Spokesman Bob Thomas confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The aim of the centre is to develop the players and to help the players fulfill their potential in a relaxed and happy environment. The new centre at King Alfred School will work in conjunction with the existing centres at Yeovil and Taunton and there are plans to add more across the region.”

“The long term aim will be to have inter-centre fixtures and development days where they can all come together to train. The centre will initially work at King Alfred School with the school years 2 up to 7 with the first session being held on Friday 4th March.”

The initial session is free, while the resulting sessions will be charged in 10-week blocks at a cost of £45, working out at £4.50 a week.

All players must be booked in advance by calling Yeovil Town Football Club’s community office on 01935 847876 or emailing Sara Bradley here.
