£2,500 council Christmas trees for Burnham and Highbridge approved

-

The council-funded 20ft Grand Firs will be installed later this month outside the Victoria Hotel in Burnham’s Victoria Street and next to the entrance of Highbridge’s Community Centre in Market Street.

Town Clerk Denise Emery confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “We’ve set aside £2,500 for the trees, to include installation with a cherry picker, then testing and installing the lights. They always bring a lovely festive feel to the towns in the run-up to Christmas.”

Meanwhile, preparations are continuing for the official switch-on of Burnham’s Christmas lights, which will take place on Saturday November 22nd outside the Victoria Hotel.
