Town centres in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge are beginning to get a festive feel this week as both the towns’ Christmas trees arrive.
The Town Council-funded 20ft Grand Firs have been installed outside the Victoria Hotel in Burnham’s Victoria Street and next to Highbridge’s Community Centre in Market Street.
Both arrived on Tuesday after town councillors last month approved a £2,500 budget for the purchase and installation of the trees over the festive season.
Meanwhile, preparations are continuing for the official switch-on of Burnham’s Christmas lights, which will take place this Saturday November 22nd outside the Victoria Hotel in the town, as previewed here.
