Burnham-On-Sea’s Christmas lights are being installed across the town centre this week ahead of the official switch-on later this month.
75 lights are being installed on lamp posts and buildings by local firm Rob Davey Electricals to add a splash of festive colour to the town’s main shopping areas.
The lights are overseen by Burnham Chamber of Trade, whose Chairman, Rhonda Mills, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Seeing the lights being installed always builds up a little excitement ahead of the switch-on. This year’s ceremony will be a special one, given our VIP guest.”
Author Terry Pratchett will have the role of ‘Grand Illuminator’ to perform the switch-on on Saturday November 26th, as first featured here.
The switch-on will be preceded by an afternoon of festive entertainment starting at 2pm outside the Victoria Hotel in conjunction with Burnham Lions Club.
