A busy weekend of Christmas events is scheduled to take place across the Burnham-On-Sea area this weekend:
Shop for gifts and treats at The Princess Theatre’s Christmas Bazaar on Saturday 30th November from 11am-3pm. Meet Father Christmas and enjoy the festive atmosphere at this very special event organised by The Friends of The Princess.
Enjoy a Christmas Market at Highbridge’s Community Hall in Market Street on Saturday 30th November from 2pm-5pm on behalf of Challenge Twelve in aid of Children’s Hospice South West. Have your photo taken with Santa and enjoy a Children’s Lucky Dip, a raffle with lovely prizes, mulled winea and mince pies, Christmas Cakes, Luxury Chocolates, Handmade Crafts Stalls, Unique Gift Stalls, Local Photography, Free Range Meat, Flowers, Wreaths and Mistletoe, Christmas Cards and Gift Wrapping, Christmas decorations and more!
Santa will be setting up a grotto at Bessie’s Sweet Shoppe in Burnham High Street (pictured right) on Saturday November 30th from 11am-2pm. £3 admission includes a gift from Santa with all proceeds going to Burnham Lions Club good causes. See Santa again at the shop on December 7th, 14th and 23rd!
A Christmas Fayre will be held at Highbridge Childrens Centre. Featuring lots of super craft stalls, a chance to do your Christmas shopping early, and fun activities for the children plus a visit by Santa! Bring the children to see Father Christmas at Highbridge Children’s Centre on Saturday 30th November from 11am-2pm.
A Christmas Art Market is being held by HABA (Highbridge and Burnham Artists) at Burnham Community Centre from 10am-4pm on Saturday 30th November – see great artwork by lots of local artists! Full details here.
Christingle Church Concert at Berrow Church on Sunday 1st December at 4pm. Mark the start of the festive season with this special service in aid of The Children’s Society.
Burnham florist Flowers and Things (pictured right) is holding a Christmas Craft Fair in Burnham High Street featuring hand made Christmas crafts, decorations and gifts. 10-4 on both Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December – full details here.
Highbridge’s Christmas lights will be formally switched-on on Saturday evening (November 30th). A group of residents and town councillors will gather outside the Community Centre in Market Street to hold the brief ceremony at 6.45pm.
Enjoy a Christmas Fayre at Burnham Nursing and Residential Home in Oxford Street from 2-4pm on Saturday 30th. Various stalls, refreshments and much more for all to enjoy! All welcome.

Coming on Thursday December 5th: Late night shopping night with shops across Burnham town centre opening until 8pm on Thursday December 5th in conjunction with Burnham Chamber of Trade.
