The winners of Burnham and Highbridge’s annual Christmas lights competition gathered to receive their prizes on Monday evening (January 7th).
Town councillors Dennis Davey, Pat Burge and Tom Nicholls visited dozens of displays across the towns before picking the winners in the run-up to Christmas, which we featured here.
In Burnham-On-Sea, the best house award wet to Barbara Morgan of 1 St Christopher’s Way while the runner-up was Mrs Cornish of 40 Love Lane.
In Highbridge, the best house award went to the Gribben family at 3 Donstan Road with the runner-up going to Mr and Mrs Bowcott of 25 Smith Way.
First place in the best-decorated business category was Material Needs in Burnham High Street, with the RSPCA shop in Regent Street being runner-up.
