Do you have what it takes to join Burnham’s Wrinkly Rappers?

-

A group of Burnham-On-Sea rapping pensioners is looking for a new member to join the fun-loving team.

One of The Wrinkly Rappers, who auditioned for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent last year, has retired, leaving a vacancy to fill.

The group’s Brenda Brooks, Marian Bowers and Belinda Marks got together in 2008.

Brenda told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “Due to a change in commitments, Snowy, our oldest crew member, has decided to hang up her bling! For us to carry on spitting raps for charity we need to recruit another crew member.”

She explained the type of person they are searching for. “They need to have a few wrinkles, a good sense of humour, the ability to strut some cool moves, like to dress in wicked gear and loads of bling, live within easy reach of Burnham for weekly ‘rap practice’, and have time to spare to perform at local charities and events for little or no pay!”

“The rewards are numerous – the opportunity to do something unique, to perform at some really odd places – in a shop window, at a rock festival and on a trailer at a wassail evening for examoke – and you get to meet amazing people while helping to raise lots of cash for charity.”

Those interested in finding out more should e-mail wrinkly-rappers@live.co.uk with a photo explaining why you would be a ‘wicked’ addition to the crew. For more info about the wrinkly rappers, call 07973 799283.
