A comedy rap duo from Burnham-On-Sea are making a fresh bid for stardom by taking part in a Sky 1 talent show.
The Wrinkly Rappers have filmed a segment for the satellite channel’s talent series, Don’t Stop Me Now.
The pair – who auditioned in front of Simon Cowell in 2009 on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent – are keeping their fingers crossed they can go further this time.
The pair, Brenda Brooks and Belinda Marks, told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “We travelled to Sky’s London auditions and had a brilliant time.”
“We performed our fashion rap in front of the audience and are hoping it will appear in the current series very soon.”
“Unfortunately, we can’t reveal how we got on until after the show is broadcast but we can say we had a memorable time!”
The Sky 1 show sees the audience become the judges and they are able to vote off acts by ejecting them. But those that make it through a 100 second performance can win up to £25,000.
Three years ago, The Wrinkly Rappers impressed the judges on Britain’s Got Talent enough to get a second audition, but their appearance was not broadcast on the hit ITV show.
The group has performed many charity events in the area in recent years, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Research Trust.
