A group of rapping pensioners who are set to appear on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent later this year will perform in a Burnham High Street shop this weekend.
Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported on ‘The Wrinkly Rappers’ in January as they headed off to perform in front of VIP judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
The group, comprising Brenda Brooks (56), Marian Bower (66), Belinda Marks (46) and Terry Reynolds (65), will appear at the Sue Ryder shop on Burnham High Street this Sunday (March 1st) at 3pm when they will take part in a busking competition.
Brenda told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We will be doing our Wrinkly Rap, and Grumpy Old Men Rap, which was inspired by listening to ladies talking about their men!”
“We also have a Rap that we hope the children will join in with called the Whipper Snapper Rapper, and is about how cool school is and about respecting teachers.”
“If you are at a loose end on Sunday, please come along to meet us and support the charity.”
Many musicians have been performing at the shop in aid of the charity in recent days, including a violinist, guitar player, and on Saturday (February 28th) at 1pm there will be children playing african drums.
