There were noisy celebrations in Burnham-On-Sea this afternoon (Wednesday) when England won their crunch World Cup match against Slovenia.
These were the scenes in The Railway Inn in Burnham’s High Street as the final whistle blew following a tense game in which England won 1-0 to reach the last sixteen teams in the tournament.
Burnham High Street was virtually empty during the game, and some local businesses closed early so that staff could watch the match.
