A long-running shop in Burnham-On-Sea town centre closed down at the weekend after a half century of business.
The Wool Sack knitting shop in Burnham’s College Street has been in business for more than 50 years and its owner, Jean Hooper, pictured, has retired.
The shop closed its doorrs for the final time on Saturday evening (April 29th).
Jean told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I have loved running the shop here and thank all of my customers for their support over the years.”
“It’s the end of an era. While I’m looking forward to my retirement, it has been a ‘bitter sweet’ decision because I will miss all my regular customers.”
