An investigation is underway into the cause of a major blaze at a timber supplier near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday night (March 29th).
Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and two from Bridgwater were sent to the Wood Pile in West Huntspill at 10pm.
“On arrival, crews discovered a shed measuring 8mx15m containing timber well alight,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
A Range Rover which was parked next to the building was also destroyed in the blaze, as pictured below.
The spokesman added: “Crews extinguished the blaze using four breathing apparatus sets, two main jets and two hose reel jets. Approximately 90% of the building was destroyed by the fire.”
Fire investigators returned to the scene of the blaze on Saturday, as pictured here, to try and find the cause of the blaze.
