Burnham-On-Sea fire crews free woman trapped overnight in car

-

An injured motorist has been freed from this car at Brean on Monday morning (August 31st) after spending the night trapped inside.

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater rushed to Warren Farm caravan park at 8.10am after a holidaymaker spotted the vehicle trapped in a ditch.

Fire crews removed the woman, who is aged 38 and a regular visitor to the site, on a stretcher amid fears that she may have spinal injuries.

One holidaymaker at the caravan park told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the scene: “She was trying to get the shower block late on Sunday night and drove along the wrong road in the darkness and ended up in the ditch. No-one knew she was missing until this morning.”
