Police have arrested a motorist on suspicion of drink driving following an early morning crash in Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.
A car collided with a house wall in Burnham’s Oxford Street on Saturday (February 23rd) at 5am before crashing into the Esso petrol station’s signs on the corner of Princess Street.
A Police spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to reports of a one vehicle collision in Oxford Street in Burnham-On-Sea at around 5.10am on Saturday.”
“A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and she is due to appear at Taunton Magistrates Court on April 4th.”
The vehicle, pictured here, was left damaged and Burnham-On-Sea Police began an investigation, leading to the arrest. No-one was hurt.
