The winners of a summer shopping treasure trail in Burnham-On-Sea have been announced this week.
Over 30 shops and businesses across Burnham-On-Sea town centre displayed cryptic clues in their windows as part of a special initiative organised by the town’s Chamber of Trade to coincide with the school holidays.
Each clue featured a holiday-themed symbol and the public was invited to see if they could follow the trail around the town centre and be in with a chance of winning a cash prize.
The £50 first prize was won by Lyla Elswood while the two £25 runners-up prizes were won by Belinda Bird and Megan Powell.
A Burnham Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “We were pleased that the treasure hunt attracted more people into our town centre over the summer holidays.”
“The competition successfully encouraged people to explore Burnham’s great range of independent shops and the large variety of goods on sale. We look forward to holding further competitions like this in the future.”
