A busy road through Highbridge was partially closed by police on Friday evening (July 29th) after a wheel dropped off a car.
Police diverted traffic around the vehicle which was left stranded in the middle of Burnham Road, as pictured here.
The driver of the Volvo estate said the wheel shaft had failed without warning at around 5pm.
Police carried out traffic management duties for over three hours before a recovery service arrived.
