Burnham-On-Sea charity shop appeals for unwanted Christmas gifts

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Weston Hospicecare charity shop has this week appealed for donations of unwanted Christmas gifts and winter clothing.

The shop in College Street has been given a number of donations in recent days, ranging from child’s rocking horses to jewellery, books and gift sets.

Linda Kelly, Retail Manager at Weston Hospicecare, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “What we need most of all are winter coats, scarves, gloves and other warm clothes.”

“With the coldest part of winter just around the corner, we are experiencing high demand from local people for ‘winter warmers’, so if you have unwanted winter clothes, please do bring them along to the shop.”

Weston Hospicecare has shops in Weston, Worle and Cheddar in addition to Burnham-On-Sea. Funds raised are used to provide care for local people and their families coping with life-limiting illnesses.
