Residents in West Huntspill were full of the joys of spring on Saturday (March 20th) when the village held its annual Spring Show.
A colourful display of flowers, food and crafts was laid on at the village hall, impressing the judges with their high standard after a difficult growing season.
Among the winners was Janet Johnson, pictured right, in the class for exhibits using fewer than five flowers.
Janet O’Neill scooped first place for the best exhibit in an unusual container, pictured below.
And Heather Kerr Peterson, also pictured below, was delighted to be awarded a first prize in the novice springtime arrangement class.
A spokeswoman for the event told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were delighted with the number of entries and the judges were impressed with the overall quality of the flower entries, particularly after the harsh winter.”
