More than 650 entries – ranging from flowers and vegetables to artwork – went on display at West Huntspill’s annual Flower Show on Saturday (August 20th).
John Inder, pictured right, won the trophy for the most points in the horticultural classes and Sarah Puddy, below, was awarded the cup for the most points in the flower classes.
Show Secretary Jane Moreton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was an excellent show with some very high quality exhibits again this year.”
“There were 650 exhibits from 55 adult exhibitors and 18 young people. A big thank you goes to all those who helped, exhibited and visited the show.”
This year’s event also included a car boot sale outside the village hall plus entertainment and a special visit by a Burnham fire engine.
A competition to guess the weight of a giant cabbage was won by John Palmer, who guessed 17lbs 10oz.
