Pupils at West Huntspill Primary School, near Burnham-On-Sea, were back behind their desks on Thursday morning (January 8th) after the failure of the building’s heating system caused the school to close on Wednesday.
A school spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that work to rectify the fault had been completed on Wednesday, allowing the school to re-open.
“It was decided that the freezing cold weather conditions meant the pupils were better off at home,” added the spokesman.
