Christmas comes early to West Huntspill this month when a local drama group performs a laugh-out-loud comedy play.
The award-winning West Huntspill Players are performing ‘Season’s Greetings’, a play by Alan Ayckbourn, at the village’s Balliol Hall on April 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th.
The play is set on Christmas Eve in the 1980s. Neville and Belinda have invited friends and relatives to stay and their are children are also there, although not seen, and their presence is always felt.
Chaos ensues with petty squabbles, a midnight love scene, and a hilarious puppet show!
The cast of members from the Burnham-On-Sea area includes Harvey (Shaun Durkin), Bernard (Alan Jarvis), Belinda (Clare Virgo), Neville (Matthew Taylor), Eddie (Greg Fear), Pattie (Victoria Baker), Rachel (June Jenkins), Phyllis (Amber McHale) and Clive (Steve Taylor). The show is directed by David Jenkins.
Tickets cost £6 for concessions on Wednesday and Thursday, and £7 for full price. Call 01278 785651 to reserve your seat. The shows start at 7.45pm, with doors opening at 7pm each night.
