Members of the West Huntspill Players drama group are celebrating several great achievements at the 2019 Somerset Fellowship of Drama Phoebe Rees Awards.
The long-running West Huntspill drama group earned several award nominations for its recent performances.
The group was nominated for its performance of ‘Tons of Money’ for The Gordon Nagle Trophy for best non theatre production, best props, best costume and Alastair Murray for best cameo.
And the group’s performance of the comedy ‘A Bunch Of Amateurs’ in the Spring also won nominations for best lighting, best stage management, Clare Virgo as best actress, and Shaun Durkin as best actor.
The winner was Clare Virgo as best female actor for her role as Dorothy in ‘A Bunch Of Amateurs’.
The group’s next production, Cold Comfort, runs from October 30th – November 2nd. Burnham-On-Sea.com will have a full preview this week.
