Dozens of classic cars from across the region trundled into West Huntspill on Saturday (August 6th) for the village’s fifth annual classic car show.
The Balliol Hall field next to the church hall was filled with motors of all models at the Classic and Vintage Vehicle Show, which also helped to raise thousands of pounds for the village church.
Organiser Rev Geoffrey Walsh, pictured right, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was yet another incredible day. Vintage and classic cars came from all over the west country, South Wales and Gloucestershire.”
“Many of the visitors commented on how they loved to come to this rustic rally which is not commercialised and in the shadow of the church.”
“The day started with a light drizzle but soon cleared to be a lovely warm day.”
“Sadly some owners were prevented from being with us because of the M5 and A38 conjestion.”
“The amount raised for the church and Christian Aid is still to be finalised but envisage it to be close to £2,000.”
