Welly wanging was among the traditional activities laid on at a Somerset-themed fun day in Berrow on Saturday (July 20th).
The annual event was held at Berrow and Brean Recreation Club and on the village green, attracting a steady flow of visitors.
“The event was organised to celebrate everything that’s great about Somerset, from traditional food and drink, to old-style traditional games,” one of the organisers, Dave Tomkin, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We had good support from local people and visitors – it was a fun day for all.”
“The welly wanging, apple bobbing and face painting proving popular with the youngsters in particular. The great weather was a bonus.”
The event, held to raise money for good causes, ended with an evening of live music from popular folk music group The Fallen Apples.
