Burnham-On-Sea town councillors raised a glass to celebrate 150 years of marriage this week.
Three well-known couples with links to the council have been celebrating anniversaries during recent weeks – and the milestones were marked with a special cake-cutting ceremony after Monday’s Town Council meeting, as pictured here.
Neville and Margo Jones were celebrating their 60th year together, while Dennis and Janet Davey have recently reached their golden anniversary, and Mayor and Mayoress Derick and Christine Cooper have recently celebrated their 48th year together.
District Council Chairman Jane Moreton and Corporate Director of Regeneration Doug Bamsey were among the guests at the celebration in the Town Council Chambers.
