A severe weather warning for this Sunday has been lifted for the Burnham-On-Sea area by the Met Office, but it will still be a stormy day.
The remnants of Hurricanes Maria and Lee are heading across the Atlantic in the final part of the weekend.
Heavy rain and 50mph gusty winds are still expected, but the threat of major disruption has reduced.
“The warning area has now changed to remove southwest England – the impact assessment has been reduced to low,” said a Met Office spokesman on Friday evening.
Seafront and beach walkers in the town have been advised to take care and check the Burnham-On-Sea weather and Burnham-On-Sea tide times and not put themselves at risk.
