Thundery showers could be set to sweep across the Burnham-On-Sea area today and tomorrow, the Met Office is warning.
Two separate warnings of heavy rain have been issued by forecasters for our part of Somerset.
A spokesman said: “Scattered heavy, thundery showers are expected to develop yet again, and will lead to slow-moving downpours.”
“Rising temperatures will trigger slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms.”
“15-25 mm are likely to fall within an hour in scattered locations, bringing the risk of flooding, especially if across urban areas.”
“As on preceding days, some locations will miss these downpours, but please be aware of possible localised flooding and disruption to travel where they do occur.”
