Burnham-On-Sea experienced its warmest night of the year so far earlier this week, according to local weather records.
The average temperature on Tuesday night (June 18th) was 16C.
Although temperatures reached 26C a bit further inland during the daytime on Wednesday, a welcome sea breeze kept the maximum down to 21.8C in Burnham.
The highest local temperature so far this year remains 23.1C on 6th June.
The month has seen an average temperature of 14.8C. The current rainfall total of 9.2mm is on the low side but with a wet weekened ahead that figure is certain to rise.
