Unseasonally mild weather brings visitors flocking to Burnham-On-Sea

-

Unseasonally warm weather brought crowds of visitors to Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (February 10th), giving businesses a boost.

The sunshine and mild temperatures saw hundreds of walkers strolling along The Esplanade (pictured) and several businesses reported a surge in ice cream sales.

Louise Parkin, owner of the Pavilion, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a busy couple of days – a nice boost.”

“Several businesses were caught out. I was asked whether I could loan them some ice cream to top up their own supplies!”

Meanwhile, Brian Clitsome of Funtastic Inflatables said his inflatable bouncy castle had been much busier than expected on the beach. “We’ve seen a good trickle of customers – the weather seems to have brought everyone out.”
