Traditional Somerset wassailing evening to be held tonight

The centuries-old tradition of Somerset wassailing – when good health is wished on apple crops for the coming year – is to be held near Burnham-On-Sea today.

The charity wassail with entertainment from The Mangledwurzels will take place on Saturday, January 11th from 7pm.

The night is being held by Rich’s Farmhouse Cider, at Mill Farm in Watchfield, in conjunction with Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club to raise money for B.U.S.T the Breast Cancer Unit Support Rrust.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 each via the Rich’s website here or on the gate on the night.
