Tickets go on sale for wassailing ceremonies in Burnham area

-

The centuries-old Somerset tradition of wassailing – when good health is wished on apple crops for the coming year – is to be performed at two events near Burnham-On-Sea later this month.

Rich’s Cider in Watchfield is organising its traditional event on Saturday January 15th from 7pm.

The event will include entertainment from The Mangled Wurzels and Bob Darch in aid of The National Blind Children’s Society and Gateway Club.

To be held at Rich’s Cider, tickets are now on sale priced at £9.50 each. Tickets are available by calling 01278 783651.

A second, separate event will also be held at Westcroft Cider Farm in Brent Knoll on Saturday January 15th from 7pm-midnight, however tickets have sold out.
