People in the Burnham-On-Sea area are being invited to a beach party-themed charity event in Brean this Saturday.

Warren Farm Holiday Centre will be hosting a Summer Fête in aid of Cancer Research UK and Renegades Carnival Club on Saturday June 22nd.

Mike Harris, director at the holiday centre, said: “Join us for our fun-filled Summer Fête at our clubhouse, The Beachcomber. Entry is free and the steel band, Caribbean Melody, will be playing throughout the day for people to enjoy.”

“There will be a range of stalls and games on offer including camel racing, crazy golf, hook a duck, penalty shoot out, skittles, a surf board simulator and a tombola. We will have a barbecue set up with snacks available to purchase too.”

“After the success of last year’s Jubilee-themed fête, the dunk tank will be back. People will have the opportunity to throw balls at a target to try and get an unlucky member of staff wet.”

Magic Luke will also be performing tricks and there will be balloon modelling and face painting for youngsters. Children will have the opportunity to have their photograph taken with The Beachcomber’s pirate mascot, Captain Comber.

Donations raised during the event will be split between Cancer Research UK and Renegades Carnival Club.

Mike continued: “We’re inviting both locals and holidaymakers alike to come along to our family fun day. Remember to wear your loudest shirt as the fancy dress theme is beach party.”
