An emotional series of war and love stories is to be performed in Burnham-On-Sea this month marking the centenary of World War 1.
The production by the acclaimed AsOne Theatre Company will be a poignant mix of war stories, music and song that aims to create a surprising take on war from both combatants themselves and their families.
“AsOne has a reputation for excellent and through provoking theatre, their productions have been described as ‘breathtaking’,” said the theatre’s manager, Sam Nicol.
“The company will present a gripping new piece of theatre with live music – five incredible stories of families affected by war.”
The play has been created using real testimony from people who’ve fought in Afghanistan, waved their child off to fight or discovered a WW1 relative’s diary.
The show will take place on Friday October 17th at 7.30pm and tickets cost £12, £11 and £10. They are on sale now on 01278 784464.
The theatre is offering ‘Buy One Get One Free’ to students, Service and ex-Service Personnel (Legion etc) and members of the history group.
