Vandals leave trail of damage to garden walls in Burnham-On-Sea

-

Vandals have caused thousands of pounds of damage in part of Burnham-On-Sea.

Angry residents in Rosewood Avenue, Briar Close and Rosewood Drive say they face expensive repair bills after six garden walls were pushed over, as pictured here, during the past fortnight.

One resident, who asked not to be named, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “These latest incidents come after many similar senseless attacks over the years. The damage has to be repaired and paid for, requiring insurance claims.”

“Quite why anyone would want to knock over our walls I don’t know – it is just mindless vandalism. The police have told us that three young people have been picked up after the latest incidents and they are continuing to patrol the area.”

Burnham Police have urged residents who see anyone acting suspiciously to contact them via their non-emergency line of 101.
