Don’t lose your chance to vote, Burnham-On-Sea residents urged

-

Burnham-On-Sea residents have been warned that time is running out to get themselves registered to vote in May’s elections.

To vote in the County Council Elections on May 2nd, residents must appear on the Register of Electors and the last date for applications to get listed is April 17th.

“Anyone who has moved house in the past few months needs to register with their new address. There may also be many people in Sedgemoor who have not yet registered to vote, which means they will be missing out unless they take action,” Sedgemoor’s Electoral Services Manager told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“They will need to register before April 17th to be able to vote in the election on Thursday 2nd May.”

Residents can request a registration form by calling Sedgemoor’s Electoral Services on 01278 435268 or by printing off a registration form from here.

To vote in the Somerset County Council elections on 2nd May, people need to be on the electoral register and either a British, qualifying Commonwealth Citizen or a European Union Citizen.
