Village halls in the Burnham-On-Sea area have been urged to step up their security after two local break-ins this week.
Mark Village Hall was broken into during the early hours of Monday (August 13th) and a quantity of cash was stolen from the bowling club.
“The burglars left a lot of damage and it took us a whole day to clean it up,” said a spokeswoman.
“It’s been very disruptive and several meetings due to take place in the hall have been cancelled.”
Blackford Village Hall was also broken into over the weekend, prompting a warning from Police to those running local village halls to ensure their security is stepped up.
Anyone with information about the incidents should call Police on 101.
