An estate agent which hopes to sell a former garage in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea says there has been ‘lots of interest’ from potential bidders.
The former Vicarage Garage next to Burnham’s Post Office in Vicarage Street will go under the hammer at an auction this month.
Its guide price of £80,000 – £140,000 has attracted plenty of interest, said Paul Gass from Burnham’s Gary Berryman estate agents this week.
He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have seen lots of interest in this site and the good news is that the potential bidders are keen to retain it as commercial premises, not to develop it.”
“The building does need a lot of work, but no-one wants to see more flats there. It’s a good buy for a large town centre site.”
The auction takes place at The Oaktree on July 24th when eight other lots will also go under the hammer.
