Police were called to an unusual accident at Burnham-On-Sea’s M5 motorway roundabout on Wednesday afternoon (March 2nd).
Officers were called to the Edithmead roundabout after a van collided with a lamp post, sending it crashing across the road.
A Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called at 3.20pm to an incident where a van was involved in a collision with a lamp post. No-one was injured.”
Safety at the busy roundabout has been in the spotlight during recent months since its layout was changed last year when new road markings were introduced. There have been several accidents since.
