Large plumes of smoke were seen by residents in Brean on Thursday (June 28th) during an apparent fire at Uphill nature reserve.
Both Avon Fire and Rescue Service and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service say they had not been attended, although Avon Fire said it was aware of the incident.
These Burnham-On-Sea.com photos show the smoke at the Walborough Nature Reserve in Uphill, which is run by the Avon Wildlife Trust. One reader in the area suggested that hay and silage had been alight, but was being managed.
The heatwave has left dry conditions across the country, causing wildfires in some parts of the UK during recent days.
