This team of young Burnham-On-Sea football players is celebrating this week after completing a treble victory.
Burnham United Under 13s beat Bath City Youths 5 – 1 in the County Cup over the Bank Holiday weekend to lift the silverware. The victory comes after they beat teams from Yeovil, Taunton and Bristol.
The team has had a fantastic season, winning the 1st Division Championship with three games to spare, and the Knockout Cup.
Having lifted the County Cup, the team will now represent Somerset in the regional finals in Bristol. If successful, they will then go to the national finals the following week at Pride Park, Derby.
“The County Cup win rounds off the most successful season in Burnham Juniors’ history and the Club congratulates all of the players, managers and coaches on their fantastic achievements,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
