Large crowds rock to EvanFly at Burnham’s Under A Summer Moon concert
Top Weston group EvanFly entertained the large crowds at Burnham-On-Sea’s popular Under A Summer Concert on Saturday, July 30th.
Despite heavy rain earlier in the day, the weather cleared just in time for the start of the five-hour event, which was held at the BASC Sports Ground in Stoddens Road.
It offered a line-up of music for all tastes, including support groups Bone Idol, Everything We Left Behind and tribute group Killer Queen.
But it was Weston’s EvanFly which was the main attraction for many of the spectactors.
The group recently appreared alongside big names from the music industry at Channel Four’s T4 On The Beach concert in their home town.
Under A Summer Moon has become highly popular with local families – and this year’s event was no exception, with dozens of local people munching picnics while watching the music.
DJs from local radio station Star FM, one of the event’s sponsors, were also in attendance, and facilities at the event included a beer marquee and various food sellers. Paramedics from St John Ambulance provided first aid support.
Burnham’s next big summer music event will be Jazz in the Park on Sunday September 4th which will feature music from several national and local jazz groups.
