UKIP selects new parliamentary candidate for Burnham-On-Sea area

-

The UK Independence Party constituency association has announced its parliamentary candidate for the Burnham-On-Sea area this week.

Jeffrey Bolter, a former Metropolitan Police officer, has been selected to stand in the 2015 general election as the Wells candidate, which covers the Burnham area.

He was chosen at a UKIP hustings meeting held in East Brent over the past week.

Mr Bolter has strong links with the area going back many decades and has a home in Wells. He was in the Metropolitan Police for 36 years and served as the Constables’ Federation representative.

Former UKIP candidate Jake Baynes resigned in July, along with his local party Chairman, Graham Livings, as reported here. Mr Baynes claimed there was ‘civil war’ within the constituency party and a ‘vendetta’ against him.
