Burnham-On-Sea’s University of The Third Age will be holding an open afternoon today (Saturday) for potential new members to find out more about the group.
The group has nearly 600 members and offers more than 50 different activities led by its own members at Burnham Community Centre in Berrow Road.
The ‘new members open afternoon’ will be held at the centre from 2.30pm.
Mary Ballard, Chair of the U3A, said: “Invitations have now gone out to all our new members and we are anticipating a valuable afternoon where Committee Members and Group Leaders will be giving talks, advice and slide shows on the subject of the group activities we offer.”
Refreshments will be available and all are welcome to attend.
