Burnham-On-Sea police appeal for information after tyres slashed

-

Burnham-On-Sea police are seeking the public’s help following a spate of criminal damage to parked vehicles in the town.

Thirteen cars had their tyres slashed or bodywork damaged on January 30th and 31st in and around the town centre – as exclusively reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com last month.

Police say the incidents occurred overnight and the incidents appear to have been indiscriminate, with vehicles parked in Jubilee Street, South Terrace, Abingdon Street, Victoria Street, Shearn Lane, Eaton Road and Love Lane targeted.

“Police have carried out house-to-house enquiries in the area and are now appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area at the time of the incidents and may have spotted an individual or number of people acting suspiciously around the parked vehicles,” said PC Pete Wills.

Police have also obtained CCTV footage which is being examined. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Burnham police station on 0845 4567000.
