Two tattooists from Burnham-On-Sea are this week celebrating after winning a host of top awards at a national convention.
Dan Lewis and Maciej Borek of Hallmark Tattoos in Burnham’s College Street returned triumphant after taking part in the second Totally Inked Tattoo Convention in Newport, Wales last weekend.
Between them they achieved a virtual clean sweep, winning four out of a possible five awards.
Maciej won Best colour saturday, Best black and grey Sunday, and the overall Best of show, while Dan came back with the best of colour award for sunday, his first award.
Maciej said: “It was really cool to receive these awards in front of my peers and judges whom I personally hold in high esteem and who are well known and respected in my field. This has left me with a great feeling of satisfaction.”
Dan added: “Maciej and I, along with our team and clients, all left the show with great satisfaction that not only had we had a good time and created some nice tattoos, but left with an award, which took me by complete surprise. It has been a long road of hard work and dedication, but to be able to hear that several top artists liked my artwork was the best feeling.”
Both artists thanked the convention for putting on such a great event as well as their clients for sitting full days with them.
