-

Two Burnham-On-Sea runners are set to take part in the London Marathon this month.

Steve Wilcox and Sue Nicholls will be pounding 26 miles around London to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Sue, 73, is running her eighth London Marathon and Steve is doing his first.

Sue told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I love running. Marathons are a great way to see some amazing places around the world – this will be my 17th marathon overall.”

Steve won his club place in the marathon after the ballot and adds: “I’m really looking forward to taking part — it will be extra special for me to help Cancer Research, having lost three close friends to Cancer over the last year.”

The duo, who are both members of Burnham Harriers running club, say their training is going well and they are on track to run the marathon on Sunday April 28th.
